The Sweetest Femme Fatale

The Sweetest Femme Fatale

I am the Perfect Angel,
Always Innocent and Sweet,
A Princess on my Pedestal,
Delighting all I meet.
If I fall down, I climb back up;
  I will not be saddened.
I’m the Cat who acts as if
It never ever happened.
And I need no Magic Mirror,
Hanging on the wall,
To tell me I’m the Sweetest
And most Innocent of all.

My greatest treasure is my Heart,
My spirits must stay bright.
Each attitude, thought, word and deed,
I guard both day and night.
Handsome is as Handsome does,
A man must prove his worth,
For without rings there are no strings,
For the Femmes Fatales of Earth.
And I need no Magic Mirror,
Hanging on the wall,
To tell me I’m the Queen of Hearts,
The most Precious One of all.

I sing the songs men want to hear,
Of respect and admiration,
The Heroes in my life deserve
Irresistible Temptation.
I wind men round my fingertips,
Each one a willing slave,
Those knights in shining armour,
My dragons they do slay.
And I need no Magic Mirror,
Hanging on the wall,
To tell me I’m the most
Bewitching Siren of them all.

With men life is a learning curve,
So failure is my friend.
I get wiser from my errors,
It’s not over ‘til the end.
I’ll fake it ‘til I make it,
With frills and ribbons, flowers and lace,
I’m the sweetest and most feminine
Belle of every Ball I grace.
And I need no Magic Mirror
Hanging on the wall,
To tell me I’m the most
Enchanting Femme Fatale of all.

This Poem of Affirmations is written by Shara Phillips as she prepares herself for the challenge of dating six different boys before her 18th birthday.  It will be included in 'All For Elise' which will be published later this year.
