The Sweetest Femme Fatale

The Sweetest Femme Fatale

I am the Perfect Angel,
Always Innocent and Sweet,
A Princess on my Pedestal,
Delighting all I meet.
If I fall down, I climb back up;
  I will not be saddened.
I’m the Cat who acts as if
It never ever happened.
And I need no Magic Mirror,
Hanging on the wall,
To tell me I’m the Sweetest
And most Innocent of all.

My greatest treasure is my Heart,
My spirits must stay bright.
Each attitude, thought, word and deed,
I guard both day and night.
Handsome is as Handsome does,
A man must prove his worth,
For without rings there are no strings,
For the Femmes Fatales of Earth.
And I need no Magic Mirror,
Hanging on the wall,
To tell me I’m the Queen of Hearts,
The most Precious One of all.

I sing the songs men want to hear,
Of respect and admiration,
The Heroes in my life deserve
Irresistible Temptation.
I wind men round my fingertips,
Each one a willing slave,
Those knights in shining armour,
My dragons they do slay.
And I need no Magic Mirror,
Hanging on the wall,
To tell me I’m the most
Bewitching Siren of them all.

With men life is a learning curve,
So failure is my friend.
I get wiser from my errors,
It’s not over ‘til the end.
I’ll fake it ‘til I make it,
With frills and ribbons, flowers and lace,
I’m the sweetest and most feminine
Belle of every Ball I grace.
And I need no Magic Mirror
Hanging on the wall,
To tell me I’m the most
Enchanting Femme Fatale of all.

The School For Femmes Fatales

The Femme Fatale is the deadliest of women - one who understands men and uses their weaknesses for her own advantage - and above all she glories in her femininity. She is a Celebration of Womanhood to be enjoyed by both men and women.
The characters of my novels typify different styles of the Femme Fatale: Jill Woods seduces the uptight School Principal Edward Roberts and makes him forget his fiancée Lucilla, her father's funeral and appointments he has made to interview parents. No woman has ever made him feel like she has made him feel and no man can resist her brand of sexy seduction for very long.
Newly widowed Meredith West is another style of Femme Fatale, the Lady Sweet and Kind, whose face and manner inspire sincere devotion from both men and women alike, while her aunt Louisa Bridge is the high status Grand Dame married to the richest man in town. Widowed three times, George Bridge eventually caught her between husbands.
Seventeen year-old Shara Phillips, the narrator of For Lucilla is the innocent Fledgeling Femme Fatale who all the boys find fascinating, especially when she models the feminine mannerisms of her grandmother Meredith and Aunt Louisa. Lainie Woods, the narrator of For Jill typifies the not-so-innocent Femme Fatale, who successfully manages every man she comes into contact with, from her father, her great-uncle, his lawyer and her many male admirers, all of them in fact, with the exception of Ash her nemesis, the childhood sweetheart she has never forgotten.
Since my last blog entry I have been busy writing the next few novels in this series which I have decided to call The School For Femmes Fatales as they show the young narrators learning from their elders and from their own mistakes how to become the Perfect Femme Fatale.

Exciting News!

I have been working hard since November 2007 on a series of novels and short stories about two families, the West family and the Rogers family and I have started this blog to promote them.

The first novel was For Lucilla which is narrated by seventeen year-old Shara Phillips and begins with the funeral of her grandfather, Charles West. It tells the story of her aunt Lucilla West's romance with David Carter in the early days of Meredith West's widowhood.

The sequel All For Elise is about football-mad Jason West's stormy romance with Elise Carter, once again narrated by Shara, and it describes her growing friendship with Lilah Rogers and Nick Carter, Elise's brother.

Concurrent with both of these novels is For Jill which tells the same events this time narrated by Lilah Rogers and told from the perspective of the Rogers family.

For Lucilla and the Large Print Edition of For Lucilla are now available to buy at Amazon.com and at my e-stores which are linked to this page.
